Beret Flash
On a black shield-shaped embroidered item with a semicircular base edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) black border, 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width overall, a 7/8 inch (2.22cm) wide gray diagonal band from upper right to lower left, fimbriated with 1/8 inch (.32cm) yellow bands. The beret flash was originally approved on 9 Jul 1981. It was amended to add metric measurements on 17 Mar 1992.

On a black oval-shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) black border, 1 3/8 inches (3.49cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in width overall, a 7/8 inch (2.22cm) wide gray diagonal band from upper right to lower left fimbriated with 1/8 inch (.32cm) yellow bands. The background trimming was originally approved on 9 Jul 1981. It was amended to add metric measurements on 17 Mar 1992.
